New evidence showed that Adam Skelos (right) wouldn’t be worth much at his job without the influence and help of his father Dean (left).

Former state Senate majority leader Dean Skelos responded stoically to the guilty verdict of his buddy and fellow corrupt politician Sheldon Silver. The corruption trial of the Skelos boys does not seem much brighter.

On Monday, November 30, e-mails were entered into evidence that showed son Adam would not be much without his daddy’s powerful influence. Evidence showed that Adam’s position at a Long Island environmental firm was linked to him being able to get his father to advocate for the business in Albany.

In November 2012, Adam, 33, immediately reached out to his father Dean when his boss at AbTech Industries approached him about getting Hurricane Sandy relief work channeled to the environmental firm.

Adam responded, “Will get on this now,” before forwarding the e-mail to Dean, he asked, “What should I do?”

Three months earlier, Adam went to his father when he received an email from former AbTech exec Bjornulf White asking about pending legislation that could help the firm.

Adam responded: “Is this bill something I should look to try to extend the time limit with the state?” — and again, forwarded the e-mail to his dad, saying, “See below. Do you know what bill he’s talking about?”

Dean replied, “Will have Robert check,” referring to his chief of staff, Robert Mujica.

The Post reports: “The dozens of new e-mails were part of testimony in Manhattan federal court from White, who hired Adam for his $10,000-a-month job with the company in 2012.

Dean, 67, and Adam Skelos are accused of using the dad’s influence to help the son get work he either wasn’t qualified for or just didn’t do.

White testified that he and AbTech founder Glenn Rink, who took the stand last week, were against increasing Adam’s salary from $4,000 to $10,000 a month.

But Charles Dorego, a lawyer who had close ties to Dean Skelos through real-estate developer Glenwood Management, was adamant about giving him the raise, White said.”

“[Glenn] said Charlie told him if AbTech increased Adam’s pay and takes care of Adam, his father will take care of AbTech,” White testified.
