Aby Rosen, the owner of the historical Seagram Building built in 1958 has found a new Major Food Company to occupy the space of the Four Seasons Restaurant. The iconic Phillip Johnson-designed space will be taken over by the Major Food Company of Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick , the same group behind Carbone, Dirty French, and Santina.

Although the space is historical, Rosen has found his way of dealing with the Landmarks Preservation Caommission in order to completely renovate the grill and pool spaces to put up-to-the-minute trends.  “We can change everything in the room, including a glass room divider whose removal the Landmarks Commission shot down. It’s a loose item, so you can pick it up and move it anywhere you want,” Rosen told New York Magazine. Renovations will begin as soon as the old 1959 lease is over in July 2006. They will be taking over the space when the 1959 lease ends, which will end July 2016.
