The Met Opera’s Glorification of Terrorists

Dear Editor,

Regarding the opera about the murder of Klinghoffer, I wrote a

letter to Mr. Gelb, the manger of the Metropolitan Opera, asking him: “What is the difference between the ISIS man who beheaded the American and the terrorist who pushed a disabled man with his wheel chair into the sea to drown alive? And would he glorify ISIS too? And to stop promoting terrorism.

The Met has no business promoting and glorifying terrorists! This point should be drilled into the public in order to cancel the performance of this ugly opera, which is nothing but a degenerate art, promoted by Arab money from Qatar.

Sincerely yours,

Professor Heskel M. Haddad, M.D.

Response to Editorial: “‘The Meltdown’ of Obama”

Dear Editor:

I would like to respectfully reply to your August 29 editorial, “’The Meltdown’ of Obama,” in which you assert that the Obama administration is “practicing flawed policies in dealing with Iran, Syria, the Arab Spring, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Ukraine, Isis, and more.” Of course, as with every previous president, Obama’s foreign policy is imperfect, but I believe the following should be considered:

Under Obama’s leadership a coalition has been formed that is applying the most extreme sanctions ever on Iran, and that has led Iran to the negotiating table. While success is not guaranteed, Iran has already reduced its nuclear capability and strategic experts believe that attacking Iran would not guarantee success in preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and would have many negative effects, including badly damaging the US, Israeli, and world economies, increasing military actions and terrorism against Israel (and possibly the US) and increasing anti-Semitism and the isolation and criticism of Israel.

With regard to Syria, Obama’s policies led to Syria giving up its chemical weapons without the lost of any lives or any other negative effects of war.

With regard to Israel, Obama recognizes, along with many Israeli strategic experts, that there is no military solution, and that Israel needs a resolution of its conflict with the Palestinians in order to avert renewed violence and increased diplomatic criticism and isolation, respond effectively to her economic, environmental, and other domestic problems, and remain a Jewish and a democratic state. Of course any agreement would have to have provisions that would safeguard Israel’s security, such as seeing that any future Palestinian state would be demilitarized. I would welcome hearing of a feasible scenario that could produce a decent future for Israel if there is no negotiated resolution of the Israeli- Palestinian conflict.

It seems that Obama’s harshest foreign policy critics were the biggest proponents of the US attacking Iraq, which has cost so many lives of brave US soldiers, may end up costing $4 trillion when all effects of our invasion are considered, including medical treatment of wounded and traumatized Americans, and is contributing significantly to many of the foreign policy threats that Obama now faces.

Very truly yours,

Richard H. Schwartz, Ph.D.

Obama Pinning Hopes on this Year’s 9/11?

Dear Editor:

I’m concerned about the upcoming September 11th. Last year it was the Benghazi horror that already is a lost memory to the American public. But this year it’s a different story. A crucial election is coming up on November 4th. The Obama Team sees the possibility of his Senate majority going down the drain and with it his security to block any impeachment moves. The sudden pop up of the ISIS organization and its rapid gobbling up of Iraq and Syria have aroused the slumbering public to the threats of Islam. The beheading of James Foley and the horrific actions of Hamas have disturbed the Obama-mesmerized nation enough to send warning signals to Obama’s advisers. Playing golf after delivering a tear jerking talk to Foley’s parents and waltzing away on a two week vacation while Ferguson burned and the Middle East being consumed by primitive Islamists have awakened the fears of his most loyal supporters. A threat to his presidency.

This is a scary scenario for the President. A monkey wrench has been tossed into his well oiled plans for the reduction of this country into a third world nation. His overt support for the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and his obvious disdain for Israel and the new democratic Egypt have even been unfavorably reported in his friendly media. So what to do? How to contain this undermining of his once regal presidency?

No better way than to have a national catastrophe and 9/11/14 would be the perfect time. Islamic created bedlam in NYC, Chicago or Las Vegas would give Obama the perfect opportunity to speak to the public about the need for “all Americans to get together! Let’s unite as one nation to fight terror!” He might even take a page out of his “uncle” Jeremiah Wright’s notebook and blame previous administrations for oppressing Muslims. To help protect our nation he would, through presidential proclamation, institute martial law with troops on each corner monitoring our every move. Anti government, or rather, anti Obama individuals and organizations would be sequestered and detained until they were cleared of involvement in this new 9/11 catastrophe. Citizens’ licensed weapons would be deemed illegal and would be confiscated, of course, for the safety of all. A fascist clamp down on the country.

But the most crucial move on the part of Obama, in the wake of another attack, would be the cancellation of the mid-term elections. No doubt they would be postponed to a later date to be determined (by him) after peace and quiet have been restored. Problem solved! A panic stricken America might even give him a third term so as to provide time to straighten things out. No need to change horses while in the midst of such a cataclysmic situation. Simple solution. End of story and nation.

Think about it and be prepared.

Sincerely,

Alan Bergstein
