SL Green realty has seen good news, with the full occupation of its office building at 635-41 Sixth Ave. One of the largest software enterprises in the world, Infor has contracted a lease for 635 Sixth Ave penthouse.
The penthouse is a duplex spanning 21,802 square feet of office space. Infor now leases a combined 114,991 square feet in the building with this addition.
The building is located at 635 Sixth Avenue between 19th and 20th Streets. Built in 1901 it has 8 stories and was housed the Apex technical school. The building features a complete redevelopment in Design; including a new lobby, new windows, new elevators, new tenant controlled air conditioning, new storefronts, new state of the art infrastructure, a new roof deck with bocci court and a new glass penthouse with a terrace.
In 2012, SL Green bought the two buildings for $172 million from Atlas Capital Group. At the time, its president Andrew Mathias said of the procurement, “This is a great example of how we utilize our extensive relationships and know-how to capitalize on opportunities.”
Currently, the firm plan to create a single redevelopment by fully combining the two buildings.
SL Green executive vice president, Steven Durels, director of leasing and real property, made the following statement in regards to the lease: “The office portion of the 271,000-square-foot property is 100% leased months in advance of the scheduled completion date for the re-development work. The comprehensive re-development includes a new enlarged lobby, relocation of elevator shafts, new windows, new bathrooms, restoration of the historic façade, new storefronts, state-of-the-art infrastructure and a new rooftop tenant entertainment space with signature bocce court.”
Bruce Mosler, Mark Mandell, Doron Etzioni and Ethan Silverstein of Cushman & Wakefield represented Infor in the deal.
