One of Israeli’s premier wine magazines describes winery owners Shraga and Tamar Rosenberg “… as if they don’t belong to the wine scene. They appear as if they apologize for entering the competitive game of wine making, but the fact is that as soon as they entered this game they always seem to win.”

Gush Etzion is located in the Judean region, situated south of Jerusalem, at one of the highest altitudes in Israel. This area has been recognized for thousands of years for wine growing and merited a special blessing in the bible that Jacob granted to his son, Judah. The climate, differences in day and night temperatures, chalky soil, the sloping vineyards, and altitude of over 900 meters above sea level, create ideal conditions for wine growing.

In 2010, approximately 120 acres of grape vines were grown from a range of varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Mourvedre, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Viognier
