Chaim Deutsch (D) – City Council (D-48)

Chaim Deutsch, a longtime community activist and liaison, is running to represent Brooklyn’s 48th district, which includes neighborhoods in Midwood, Boro Park, and Flatbush. Mr. Deutsch, who is a graduate of the NYPD Citizen’s Academy, established the Shomrim safety patrol in 1991 to combat high crime rates. It has proved extremely effective at keeping Brooklyn neighborhoods safe.

Mr. Deutsch currently works in constituent services at the City Council. He also serves as a clergy and community liaison for the NYPD.
