He’s hosted the Oscars eight times, and is slated to host it again for the ninth time next February for the 84th Academy Awards. They’ve had a lot of upheaval recently with the departure of Eddie Murphy as the host after producer Brett Ratner resigned over a comment perceived by the Hollywood gay community as anti-gay. Hopefully, his dry wit can rebound the Oscar ratings as it did in the past when he’s hosted the Oscars.
